UFC fighter Wanderlei Silva comments on his former friend/training partner and reigning UFC Middleweight Champion, Anderson Silva, during the recent UFC 99 media conference call. “The Axe Murderer” will face former ufc 99 live stream middleweight champion Rich Franklin at “The Comeback” at a catchweight of 195 pounds. It will be a transitional fight for Wanderlei, who looks to make the full drop to 185 pounds immediately following. The former Chute Boxe teammates are not shy about the fact that they haven’t seen eye-to-eye in a while. After leaving the team, “The Spider” was reportedly forbidden by Chute Boxe coach Rudimar Fedrigo from competing in PRIDE, where Wanderlei was the champion — until, that is, his friend, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira intervened. Now that Anderson is the champion, Wanderlei showed no hesitation in moving down in weight for what he said is to “fight against the best guys in the world, every time.” Anderson has stated Wanderlei’s move is “pretentious.” Here's Wanderlei's comments: ufc 99 live
“Before he was my friend, and I trained with him for a long time in Brazil before he (left). But I don’t know why he started talking bullsh## about me in Brazil. I don’t know why … I think I’m inconveniencing him, understand? Because he knows who I am, and he knows it’s possible he’s in trouble with me.”
- Mustapha Al-Turk spoke with ufc live stream about his upcoming fight against Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic. Here's what he had to say:
“My initial reaction was ‘Oh my God, I’ve got to change my strategy to fight a southpaw. It threw me a little to begin with. It hasn’t been a problem, though. There were slight difficulties adjusting from Duffee to Cro-Cop, but I think we’ve got there in the end. I’m just looking to step up now and make the most out of the situation. I see this as a great opportunity to make a name for myself. Beating Cro-Cop would be a massive win for me. I know I’m in for a tough old fight. I’m not expecting a walkover by any means. I’m going to Germany to win. I’m confident my hand will be raised at the end of this fight.”

Heath Herring Out of UFC 99
Heavyweight Heath Herring, who had been scheduled to fight Cain Velasquez in the co-main event at UFC 99, will not fight on the card as scheduled, FanHouse learned Tuesday.
FanHouse's Ariel Helwani first got the news that Herring is out. I separately confirmed with a source close to Herring that he has been battling an illness for weeks and unable to train.
It is not known at this point what will happen with Valasquez, a former Arizona State wrestler who is one of the brightest young heavyweight prospects in the UFC.
One option -- and this is pure speculation -- is that Velasquez could fight Mirko Cro Cop, who was confirmed for the UFC 99 card on Monday. Cro Cop was expected to take on Mostapha Al Turk, but a Cro Cop-Velasquez fight would be much bigger than Cro Cop-Al Turk or Herring-Velasquez.
UFC 99 takes place June 13 in Germany, with a main event of Rich Franklin vs. Wanderlei Silva.
